Larchfield can offer various specialist products that can save an engineer time when painting or making various other repairs to an aircraft. If a client thinks that too much time is spent masking a certain area then larchfield can have a stencil made from vinyl or foil to cover that exact area in one piece, like cockpit windows, static ports, hoist points and recently we even made a stencil for a Bombardier dash 8 brake unit. This can save lots of time as trying to mask these areas with rolls of 2” tape can be quite labour intensive.
Anti-erosion tape can also be cut to the exact leading edge size, or into hoist point covers that can be painted or to fit various other erosion prone areas of an aircraft.
Radome boots are another popular product that Larchfield keep on the shelf, these are often required at the end of a repaint or in general everyday repairs. Being able to get these products on an overnight service is a key factor in Larchfield’s growth and reputation for getting things done quickly.
